Orthotic Arch Supports |
|
Aetrex, the makers of
Lynco Orthotics introduced a new product called the Custom Select
Series Orthotics. These insoles combine a contoured plastic arch support
shell with unparallel cushioning for the forefoot and heel. Aetrex
Custom Select Series Orthotic arch supports have a unique arch support
feature that differentiates them from almost any other orthotic insole
on the market. The plastic arch support shell comes in three different
densities to accommodate the full range of arch heights from low to
high. Similarly the gel cushioning pads in the forefoot of the Custom
Select Series Orthotics come in three different densities to accommodate
the different cushioning needs related to having a low, medium or
high arch. Finally, the Custom Select Series Orthotics have a mild
metatarsal arch at the ball of the foot that help raise and support
the metatarsal bones.

Series Orthotics - Support Structure
|
The arch support shell
is the black (or silver in the Custom Select Orthotic High Density)
piece that runs from the forward part of the medial arch around the
heel and to the rear of the lateral arch. This arch shell is what
gives the orthotic its support and differentiates it from a cushion
insole. The arch shell is made from TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)
and it comes in three different densities low, medium and high.

Series Orthotics - Cushioning Structure |
The Custom Select Series
Orthotics utilize both foam and gel to provide superior cushioning
to the entire foot. The main body of the insole (the blue foam) is
a closed cell polyurethane foam that is very durable, resists compression
and provides long lasting shock absorption. The orange, yellow and
green shock pads on underside of the Custom Select Series Orthotics
are a TPR (Thermal Plastic Rubber) gel called CS3 and each color reflects
a different density. The Green gel is the lowest density so it is
the softest. The yellow gel is the medium density and the orange is
the highest density and is the most firm.

| Aetrex Custom Select Series
Orthotics have a CopperGuard top cover made from advanced Cupron fibers.
Basically this means that small copper fibers are woven into the cloth
top cover. The copper fibers act as an antibacterial antimicrobial
to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi that can cause athletes
foot and general foot odor. |
