The Medium Density Custom Select Series Orthotic Arch Supports are a step up in rigidity from the Low Density and people with flat feet or naturally low arches will definitely feel a difference in the arch. This model is mainly designed for people with low to medium height arches but is also a good next step up in support for people who have been using the Low Density and decide that they would like to get a little more support out of the orthotic. The Medium Density Custom Select Series Orthotics by Aetrex uses the Yellow gel which is medium density. This is because people with medium arches tend to bear weight evenly across the entire forefoot so the gel cushioning is designed to provide an equal amount of cushioning to both the inside and outside of the forefoot.

All Custom Select Series Orthotics by Aetrex have a thick plug of the soft green gel under the heel. The heel is the part of the foot which receives the most impact. The additional gel plug adds significant cushioning under the heel to maximize shock absorption.
