Serious Arch Support Combined with Extra Cushioning for Maximum
Support & Comfort
Powerstep
Pinnacle orthotic arch supports by Stable
Step Inc. are one of the only over the counter orthotic arch supports
available that are designed by a podiatrist. In fact, Powerstep Pinnacle
orthotic arch supports are not only designed by a podiatrist but the
arch support shape itself was created through a detailed computer
analysis of the castings from hundreds of actual people’s feet.
This design process resulted in an amazingly supportive, semi rigid,
prescription-like orthotic arch support that retains just enough flexibility
for an unparalleled level of comfort.
Powerstep
Pinnacle orthotic arch supports consist of a polypropylene
plastic arch support that is encapsulated in two distinctive layers
of cushioning foam for unparalleled support and cushion comfort.
The plastic arch shell is the same shell that is used in the original
Powerstep Full Length orthotic arch supports. Those who have used
and liked the shape and support of the original Powerstep arch supports
will not have to readjust to a new shape or fit with the Powerstep
Pinnacle.
What differentiates
the Powerstep Pinnacle
orthotic arch supports from the original
Powerstep Full Length is it's level of cushioning. While the original
Powerstep arch support has always been a popular product, many people
felt that it could be improved if there was more cushioning. Well,
Stable Step, the makers of Powerstep listened and the result was the
Powerstep Pinnacle.
As stated
earlier, the Powerstep Pinnacle insole has two distinct layers
of cushioning. The bottom cushion layer
is made from HyPUR-cel®, an open-celled polyurethane foam.
HyPUR-cel® is a moderately dense foam that has great internal
strength and a low compression set. This means that the foam
is firm rather than bouncy and it maintains its shock absorption
properties considerably longer than other foams that are commonly
used in insole construction (such as plastazote foam).
The top
cushion layer (thin black layer) of the Powerstep Pinnacle
orthotic arch support is an open-celled, low density EVA foam which
is bouncy and soft. The EVA layer covers the plastic arch support
completely and runs from the heel all the way to the toes. This gives
the Powerstep Pinnacle considerably more cushioning, in the heel arch
and ball of the foot that the original Powerstep orthotic arch supports.
The
blue top-cover on Powerstep Pinnacle
orthotic arch supports is a special patented Sanitize ETC™
fabric. Its special weave reduces slippage and friction (and
therefore heat and perspiration). Sanitiz ETC™ fabric
is treated with an anti-bacterial/anti fungal application so
the Powerstep Pinnacle insoles stay fresh and odor free even
after considerable use.

One
word of caution about
open-celled foams such as the type used in the Powerstep Pinnacle,
open-celled foams are porous. This makes them considerably more breathable
than closed-cell foams which are nonporous but it also makes them
absorbent. Try not to get your Powerstep Pinnacles insoles soaking
wet as they will slowly absorb water. If they do get wet (for instance,
if you were caught in a downpour while out running) remove the Pinnacle
insoles from your shoes and let them air dry completely before putting
them back in your shoes and using them. This will greatly increase
their longevity. Also, DO NOT put Powerstep Pinnacle insoles in a
dryer or dry them near a heater or furnace vent as this will destroy
the EVA foam layer and could warp the HyPUR-cel® layer.
