| Superfeet’s
Red Hot insoles are Superfeet’s newest insulated cold
weather footbed. The Red Hot replaces the Wintergreen
insole which has now been discontinued. Superfeet has added
several additional features that significantly improve the level
of support and the insulating capacity of the Red Hot insole
(when compared to the Wintergreen). Superfeet Red Hot insoles
have a slightly wider forefoot then the other Superfeet insoles
to insure that it will fit all types of winter shoes and boots.
This includes: Ski, snowboard, telemark, nordic and winter working
and hiking boots. Of course Superfeet Red Hot insoles also work
in athletic shoes, casual and walking shoes and can generally
be worn in any winter shoe that needs increased support and
insulation. |

Superfeet
Red Hot insoles are unique foam arch supports that have a contoured
Rebound High Density Hybrid EVA foam insole (the black middle
layer) reinforced with a patented plastic support bridge to
cradle the heel and support the arch. Rebound High Density Hybrid
EVA foam is a firm and resilient foam that is not soft or spongy.
It is designed to be light and shock absorbing yet firm and
supportive. The plastic arch support bridge helps to accentuate
the supportive contours of the Rebound foam insoles. Superfeet
Red Hot insoles (arch supports) are light but surprisingly sturdy,
supportive, comfortable and insulated. They add significant
support and improve the fit, comfort and warmth of almost any
pair of shoes. |

The
Improved Plastic Support Bridge
Superfeet Red Hot insoles
use the same new and improved plastic support bridge that the Orange
and Berry insoles use. Rather than having a smoothly contoured plastic
arch bridge (such as on the Superfeet
Wintergreen footbed), Superfeet Red Hot insoles have two distinct
and significant ridges in the plastic. One ridge runs from the lateral
(outside) heel all the way around and to the medial (inside) arch
and the other ridge runs around the interior of the forefoot. These
two ridges significantly increase the strength and rigidity of the
plastic support bridge thereby increasing the overall support and
longevity of the Superfeet Red Hot insole.

areas where insulation has been added to protect your feet from
the cold.

Forefoot Foil Insulation
The most notable addition to the Red Hot Insole (which
Wintergreen lacked) is the forefoot foil layer and its
mesh backing. The Thermo-Foil layer acts as a reflective
barrier that insulates by deflecting the cold so it can’t
penetrate past the foil and into the shoe. Directly above
the foil layer is a resilient open cell mesh layer. The
mesh layer creates a neutral air space that holds in warm
air and increases air flow as forefoot pressure is applied
and released. Together, these two layers help to keep
your feet and toes significantly warmer than the Superfeet
Wintergreen insole or other non-insulated insoles. |

Red
Hot (Red) Top Layer
The red top layer of the Red Hot by Superfeet is made from a low
friction Nylex felt and has an infusion of Adaptive Comfort®
by Outlast® which absorbs body heat and then dissipates it as
the foot cools. Unlike other Superfeet models which have a woven
top cover the Superfeet Red Hot have a soft fuzzy felt top cover.
It is noticeably softer and cozier than all the other models and
will make you want to wear the insole barefoot so you can really
feel how soft and cozy they are. |
