| The Pedag
Pro-Active XCO (eXtra Cushioning Orthotic) is Pedag’s first
truly athletically oriented arch support and while it can be used
in any shoe that can accommodate a full length arch support insole
(including dress and casual shoes) it offers more cushioning and shock
absorption than any orthotic Pedag arch support. |

The Pedag Pro-Active XCO
has the same plastic arch support bridge that is used in all the Pedag
orthotics such as the Pedag
Holiday Arch Supports, Pedag
Viva Arch Supports and the Pedag
Vitality Arch Supports but unlike these arch supports which have
all natural top covers the Pedag XCO has a closed cell neoprene top
cover that is extremely soft and shock absorbent. Pedag Proactive
XCO arch supports also include a soft foam rubber, tear drop shaped
metatarsal arch to support the ball of the foot. This means that like
all the other Pedag arch supports the Pedag XCO is a complete orthotic
that provides support to the medial, lateral and metatarsal arch.

| The Top Cover |
| The top cover
of the Pedag Pro-Active XCO (eXtra Cushioning Orthotics) is made from
a 1/8th inch thick closed cell neoprene foam (the black layer) that
resists compression and provides considerably more shock absorption
than any other Pedag arch support. The black neoprene foam has a top
and bottom cover (red on the top and grey on the bottom) made from
a 4-way stretch nylon mesh. This helps to reduce friction and heat
buildup which can cause blistering and calluses. |

Arch Support |
| The Pedag
Pro-Active XCO arch supports utilize Pedag’s traditional
medium height, semi rigid polypropylene (plastic) arch
support shell (gray plastic) that runs from the heel to
the ball of the foot. The arch support is firm and supportive
but easy to get used to, requiring little to no break-in
period. |
| The
Heel Cushion |
| The Pedag
Pro-Active XCO arch supports have one additional cushioning
feature to add to the overall comfort. Located in the
center of the heel is a small cutout doughnut hole in
the plastic arch support. This hole is filled with a soft
foam plug (light blue) that increases shock absorption
especially during high impact activities. |
