Superfeet Copper DMP arch
support insoles have the same plastic arch support bridge as the Superfeet
Black arch supports but they have and entirely unique cushion top
layer that is extremely comfortable and significantly differentiates
the Superfeet Copper DMP from any of the other Superfeet products.
The Superfeet Copper DMP arch support footbeds have a top cover that
consists of three different layers of foam and each layer provides
a different type of cushioning. Together with the plastic arch support
bridge the three layers of cushioning foam in the Superfeet Copper
DMP arch supports create a truly unique and comfortable Superfeet
insole (arch support). |

The
Three Cushion Layers |
The
Top Cushion Layer
The top cushion layer of the Superfeet Copper DMP arch
support insole consists of a highly impressionable memory
foam. This means that as you wear the Superfeet Copper
DMP footbed the top layer will settle in and take an imprint
of your foot (mainly in the weight bearing areas). In
time you will have an arch support (insole) that fits
your foot uniquely. This is actually typical of insoles
made from memory foams (such as plastazote) but the problem
with most memory foam-based insoles is that memory foam
is all they are made from (or at least for the most part).
|
|
|
The problem with memory
foam is that as it packs down and takes the unique shape of your foot
it also loses its cushioning factor. This is why Superfeet combined
the top memory foam layer of the Copper DMP with two other distinct
non memory foam cushion layers that provide more cushioning and enduring
shock absorption.
|
The
Middle Cushion Layer (white)
The middle cushion layer of the Superfeet Copper DMP arch support
insole is a closed cell Polyurethane based foam. This low density
foam, does not conform to the shape of your foot so it adds a more
resilient shock absorption layer under the less resilient memory foam.
|
The
Bottom Cushion Layer
The bottom layer of the Copper DMP is the densest layer. It is made
from a proprietary material which Superfeet calls “D-Foam”.
D-Foam is an EVA Rubber blend. This blend results in a foam layer
with a considerably stronger internal strength. The D-Foam layer of
the Superfeet Copper DMP is firm rather than bouncy and maintains
its shock absorption properties considerably longer than EVA alone
(about twice as long).
|
The
Top Cover
The three cushion layers of the Superfeet Copper DMP arch support
insoles are covered on top with a friction control, nylon weave top
cover (colored Copper). This special weave allows the foot to move
without creating excess friction and heat. The Copper top cover is
treated with Agion®, a silver-based antimicrobial to provide long-lasting
protection against bacteria.
|
Unlike the Superfeet Black
footbed which is mainly designed for casual shoes, the Superfeet Copper
DMP can be used in any shoe from dress to athletic. They are particularly
comfortable in golf shoes. |
