| Texon Fiberboard is a
compressed cellulose particle board that has a dense, firm composition
and is much tougher and more durable than typical cardboard. These
Texon Fiberboard insoles are perfectly flat, pre-cut Texon shoe inserts
that are just under 1/8 of an inch thick. Texon is often used in the
manufacturing of shoes and when it is used it can usually be found
under the insole, glued to the mid-sole. (Click

Fiberboard is to add rigidity to the mid-sole of a shoe. This increases
the level of support a shoe provides to the arch and ankle. |

all shoes include Texon in their construction and consequently they
may not offer as much support as a shoe that does use Texon. With
these Texon fiberboard inlays you can increase the support of any
shoe by putting it under the insole that came with the shoe or under
an arch support or replacement insole. |
| Hallux
Rigidus |
| These
Texon fiberboard inserts can also be helpful for treating injuries
and chronic conditions that require increased rigidity in the forefoot
of a shoe. Hallux Rigidus is one such example. Hallux Rigidus is a
condition of the big toe where movement of the toe is often painful
and can be restricted to varying degrees. A person diagnosed with
Hallux Rigidus is often recommended to wear shoes with a stiff mid-sole.
These Texon fiberboard inserts will give any shoe a considerably more
rigid forefoot. |

| These Texon fiberboard
insoles can be easily moved from shoe to shoe but they do have two
adhesive spots (the white waxy paper circles) on the bottom so they
can be adhered to the mid-sole for a more permanent fit. Texon fiberboard
insoles come in whole shoe sizes but can be trimmed to fit if necessary
with a pair of sturdy scissors. |
